Health and PE
At Fairview Park Primary all students participate in a lesson of Health and PE per week. We aim to provide an inclusive program that help students develop confidence, social skills and resilience through health and physical education. We provide the opportunity for students to work on fine and gross motor skills in the earlier years and then move on to specialised movement skills in specific sports in middle and upper years. Within the health component students learn a broad range of topics that will provide them with the stepping stones to better understand topics such as nutrition, healthy lifestyles, positive mindsets and online safety.

Language
At Fairview Park Primary Spanish is taught from Reception to year 6. We aim to introduce children to the Spanish language in a way that is enjoyable, fun and accessible to all, whilst developing students' knowledge, understanding and skills in listening, reading, speaking and writing.
We believe that learning a second language provides substantial educational, social and cultural benefits for our pupils. Foreign language lessons play an important role in developing children’s speaking, listening and literacy skills, boosting self-esteem and self-confidence, and providing opportunities for cross-curricular learning. Learning another language also promotes intercultural understanding, giving children a new perspective on the world whilst encouraging them to understand their own cultures and those of others.
At Fairview Park we celebrate the Hispanic culture through our biannual Spanish Day celebration. This is a day full of different art, craft and activities based on the different Hispanic countries around the world and is an event that has become popular with the students.
